Goodbye November, Hello Great Beyond

Sorry I haven’t posted in so long, but I’ve been busy with NaNoWriMo.

My newest novel, Inhabitation, was hard to write, but I finished anyway on the very last day. So did Trevor. And Kayla. And our friend Cathi. Ah, the joys of NaNo, the wonder and excitement.

Yay. It’s over.

I’m eventually going to get a website up, not only for my novels but maybe for some songs I’m writing. We’ll see what happens with that.

So, the plan is, I finish Inhabitation by February or March, then finish it’s sequel, (which I’m not sure what it’s called yet,) by November 1st. Ah, deadlines, deadlines. Deadlines are good things, don’t get me wrong. They’re just a little scary.

Well, better go post on nanowrimowriters!

The Craziness (Is That A Word?) Of This Past Weekend

So, Friday was hectic.

So was Saturday.

So was today.

First of all, on Friday, we went to Friday School. (Of course.) Rilaiss and I have to do our skit next week. Scary!

On Friday night, Rilaiss came over. So did her little sister. They spent the night at our house, and on Saturday, we went to Slirg’s house.

We played games, one of which was crazy. We had to split into two teams, about five people on each team. And then, we had to run across the yard, grab something out of a brown paper bag, and eat it. Yes, and we didn’t get to look at what it was.

I had to eat cocoa powder. Gross. And mustard. Yum. And marshmallows. Even more yum. And then you had to run back and tag the next person on your team. The game continued until everything in the brown paper bag was gone. Mine and Rilaiss’s team lost. Barely.

We left my sister at Slirg’s house so she could spend the night, because Slirg’s sisters are my sister’s best friends.

We went home.

Then, we played Scrabble, and Rilaiss’s younger sister woke up and decided that she wanted to go home. So her dad came to pick her up, but we talked Rilaiss’s parents into letting Rilaiss stay over again and come to church the next day.

I won Scrabble, by the way.

We then made a music video. We won’t talk about that. It was creepy.

We stayed up until 2 o’ clock and talked and listened to the soundtrack of A Series of Unfortunate Events. It was funny, and Rilaiss accidentally gave me an awesome idea for my book that I’m going to do for NaNoWriMo. She wants the idea. I won’t give it to her.

We woke up at 7:30 or so, and got ready for church, because it was at my house today. (We homechurch, by the way.)

Lots of people came. Slirg’s family came and brought my sister home.

After church, everyone went home except for Slirg’s family. We went to the playfields and played kickball. Then we went back to my house and ate dinner. Then they left. *Sad face.*

Now, it’s 9:30. They left about two hours ago.

By the way, Slirg doesn’t know how to climb a tree. *Grins.* (You know what I mean, Slirg. Send me that video. But I know you won’t, so why’d I even tell you to?)

On Tuesday, I’m going to lock myself in my room and finish my book. Hooray, but scary.

Yep, so that was my weekend. Fun and crazy.

I’m tired.

Ouch…

I was thinking that it was probably about time to write a new post, seeing I haven’t written in awhile.

Two days ago was Saturday. Grandma’s house. I rode four-wheelers and pulled a muscle in my ribs. I didn’t know it then, but that was going to hurt really bad. I mean REALLY bad.

Yesterday was Sunday. Church. We went to the school and played Capture the Flag. Yesterday was when that muscle started hurting.

Today is Monday. Pain. I woke up with searing pain, and it hurts to even take a deep breath. Seriously, this is bad. It really stinks when it hurts to even move.

Tomorrow is Tuesday. Horsebackriding. I don’t even want to think about it. I don’t want to think about how bad it’s going to hurt when I go over a jump on horseback. But, knowing myself, I going to do it anyway.

On Wednesday, we’re probably going shopping or something.

On Thursday, we might go see City of Ember. My dad said that it was dumb, but we’re probably going anyway. Finally, a clean movie.

On Friday, it’s Friday School, Rilaiss is coming over, and we’re going to the 4H Leaders’ Forum.

And on Saturday, I don’t know.

On Sunday, we start all over again.

So that’s what’s happened, and what’s going to happen.

I’m going to go look at drawings of my book that I’ve made.

What’s Been Going On…What We’ve Seen and Done…

Let’s see.

What’s been going on over the last few days since I got my permit? I’ve driven a few times, got laughed at by other drives a few times, so on, so forth.

We got a new laptop. Yay!

Friday School was fun, of course.

We’re going to the 4H Leaders Forum at the end of the month. *Smiles.*

I had fun teasing Slirg…hmm. He gets really mad about it, which makes me *laugh!*

The crazy people expected us back at dancing last Friday, and we said no way. It was so scary, and we’re never going again. We only went for the birthday party that one time. No more!
Oh, yeah! We went to go look at a house right outside of the city Slirg lives in…(your sisters are going to be mad that we didn’t move so close…) but we didn’t like the house.

We would have only been a few streets away from the black-haired Gollum and family, (I’m sure you guys know who I mean,) which would have been scary. We were planning all these things we could do to them, but it didn’t work, because the house was a duplex and there was virtually no back yard. BAD.

We were looking, because my mom felt like looking for houses.

Huh, it was kind of fun to go look at a house again, anyway. We’re wanderers, huh? We’ve lived in what? Eight houses or something? We’re so lucky that we ended up in this Valley.

Okay, hmm, what else? Don’t ask about Riddle.

Oh, yeah, I gathered up as many pieces of paper as are in Riddle the other day, and the whole stack was about two and a half inches thick. Dude.

Okay, I think that’s all.

See ya.

My DOL Adventure

DOL.

Department of Licensing.

I went there today to take the test for my Driver’s Permit. Wait, rewind.

Last night, I began to study the Driver’s Guide. It was about 100 pages long. I read it from last night, then woke up this morning and read some more.

After that, my mom said I should wait until tomorrow and study the book some more.

I didn’t want to, so she told me to take some sample tests on the computer.

I did, and I did pretty well. So we went to the DOL.

There was this guy that was waiting before me, about my age. He was also getting his permit. (I did better than him, ha. I’ll tell you more about him in a minute.)

Anyway, I talked to the mean guy behind the counter, and tested my vision. (Which, by the way, was kind of scary. Some of the letters on the left were doubled and a little blurry. Ahhh!)

Okay. After that, I went to take the computer test. I only got one wrong. By the way, there was a sample question at the beginning which I will speak of in a moment.

Remember the guy waiting before me? Well, after I passed the test, bro and I went and sat down in front of him. He was waiting again to get his permit like I was.

This guy began to talk to his friend…”I went up there, and my name was on the screen! It was sooooo cool. Then I looked for the keyboard, and I couldn’t find it. I sat there for like, five minutes, and then I saw this girl, (not me, by the way), touching the screen. I was like, duuuuuude! It’s a touch screen! And then I got to the first question, and it was 2 + 2! (The sample question, BTW) I was like, wow, that’s easy!”

And when I thought about this conversation later, I was like, ‘weird’.

So I got my permit.

And I drove the car on East College Way today.

We won’t talk about that.

So I’m driving to Friday School on Friday, so look out, other drivers!

A new driver signing off,

Anwari

Short Story for Friday School

I’m having so much fun.

You see, for Friday School, I have to write a short story. It has to have something to do with:

1. A mother

2. Jogging

3. The Washington State Ferry

So I began to write it. It was really boring at first.

And then my brother told me to change it. He told me to start out with one line. This one line began the whole story. This one line was, “Osama Bin Laden was lost.”

And it worked!

Man, this story is so much fun to write. The thing is, since it’s a funny story, I can do whatever I want to with it. It’s called, “Osama and the Washington State Ferry.”

I’ll post it on here after next Friday.

Yes, there’s still a mother and jogging in the story.

Yeah, this story’s pretty fun.

Okay, I’m going to get my driver’s permit today, so I’d better go get ready.

Signing off,

Anwari

Beethoven and the Skateboarder

Know something that’s really awesome?

Rilaiss, Slirg, I’m sure you remember Beethoven and the Skateboarder recordings, right? Not Romeo and Juliet, but the other two. Do you remember those?

Well, we were looking for CD 2 last night, the one that has the writer video on it, but we couldn’t find it. I went through a ton of unlabled CDs and found…Beethoven and the Skateboarder! YAY! We thought that they were lost for good. We listened to them and laughed until we cried. Actually, I want to go listen to them again right now.

I should.

I need to go and listen to them.

Signing off,

Anwari

Hooray! Cheer! New!

Hey, hey.

I’m happy as…well, what’s something that’s really happy? The happiest person you can think of.

Know why? Because….because…ready? I got a new piano today! Hooray!
It’s a digital, and I can hook up headphones, a CD player, an amplifier, and much more. It’s sweetness.

Angie and Torin are going to learn to play now, and maybe my dad, too. *Cheers!*

It’s really cool looking, too. Have any of you guys seen the pianos at Costco? It was the one on the right.

Now it’s mine. (Weeelll…and my family’s. But I’ll probably play it the most.)

It actually looks like a regular piano, too.

Bye, bye, tuning pianos!

Signing off to go write,

Anwari

The Puyallup Fair (It’s Awesome)

I figured it was about time to post again.

Okay, let’s see.

Editing my book….ho, hum, not going that well, but that’s okay! I can catch up.

There was no shotgun yesterday…*sad face!*

We’re starting our Homeschool Co-op in less than two weeks! Yay-o! The classes I’m taking in Friday School are:

1. Lifeline Productions

2. Creative Writing

3. Creative Writing again

This should be fun.

Okay, what else? My little siblings were just screaming at each other…but never mind that. It’s calmed down now. *Wipes forehead with hand and sighs in relief.*

Ooo! Puyallup fair! Gosh, I almost forgot to talk about it!
Okay! Here we go. This is what I did that day.

5:00 AM: My dad woke me up before going to work, and I woke up my sister and got ready to go.

5:15-6:30 AM: We watched TV.

6:30 AM: My dear friend Rilaiss came over.

7:00 AM: Everybody else woke up.

By 8:30 we were driving toward the High School to pick up another ticket.

By 10:30 we had made it to Puyallup.

The next hour and a half until the rides opened we bought our ride tickets and walked around.

At 12:00, we began to go on rides. Now this was really fun. We went on the Giant Roller Coaster first, which was okay, but nothing compared to Tatsu in Six Flags Magic Mountain. Then we went on a ride, I don’t remember what it was called, but it swung around and turned into an upside-down Ferris Wheel. (With no seat belts, because it was caged above us.)

By then, it was 1:00 PM, and we hurried back to meet my mom. We went to go listen to this Homeschool band of a dad, a mom, and their five sons. I bought their CD.

Then, we headed back to the rides for another hour and a half, going on (I think, tell me if I’m wrong, Rilaiss,) this really cool ride that I can’t explain, it was like a claw, and we sat four people in a row and it went upside down and spun around. That one was cool. And then we went on a ride called Jumping, which spun a whole bunch and…well, jumped. And we went on another roller coaster.

By 3:00 PM, we were dying of thirst, and we bought some lemonade and headed back to find my mom to watch this guy blast out of a cannonball. But when we got there, it was waaaay too hot, (80 degrees), to sit out in the sun in bleachers. My mom didn’t want to with my two little siblings, but my other brother and sister wanted to. So we split up. Mom went I know not where, my older brother and thirteen-year-old sister stayed to watch the cannonball, and Rilaiss and I headed over to watch the the Konzelman family’s next little concert. (The family we had watched before.) When Rilaiss and I got there, the two youngest boys, fourteen and twelve, were singing ‘Hey, Hey, Good Lookin”, which was really funny to listen to.

After that, we met my brother and sister again and headed back to the rides. We went on the Ring of Fire, the Inverter, Gravitation, (a different kind) Rilaiss and I went on a roller coaster, and my brother and sister went on an upside-down Ferris Wheel.

By then, it was 5:00 PM, and we met my mom at the Konzelmans’ stage once again so I could pick up my CD and so that Rilaiss could buy her CD. We listened to the last show, then had the Konzelmans sign the inside of the lyrics. Rilaiss got all of the signatures but the boys’ older sister’s, (she wasn’t there), but I couldn’t manage to get the dad and mom’s signatures because they were busy talking. *Sad face*. (Yah, you only got the mom’s and dad’s because Darien took it and had them all sign it for you, Rilaiss! Ya, boo! I’ll get the rest next year!)

Then we went on our last ride, which was a coaster/water ride. It was really nice on that 80 degree day.

After that, we went home. By 9:00 PM or so, we made it back to our house and watched The Final Inquiry. We went to bed about 11:30 PM. That was our day. It was awesome, and we want to go again next year.

So, I posted. There you guys go, hope you like it.
